Newton High School Foreign Language Honor Society Induction

Recently, we had our World Language National Honor Society Induction Ceremony, and it was truly an exceptional event. We had not one, but two keynote speakers who shared their unique experiences and insights on language learning. Danielle Frank (class of 2018) and Rosa Gonzalez Vasquez (class of 2022) rocked the stage and left the audience in awe.

Now, you might be wondering why we had two keynote speakers this year. Well, it was a brilliant idea to have both of them share their experiences. While Danielle spoke about the challenges of learning Spanish as a native English speaker, Rosa shared her experiences as a native Spanish speaker learning English. Both of them shared their journeys, struggles, and growth, and the audience was mesmerized.

Their speeches were a clear testament to both our World Language and English Language Learner programs' strength. Being bilingual is a significant advantage, and their stories proved it. We're thrilled to have had such inspiring speakers at our event, and we can't wait for you to experience it next time.  Congratulations to our newest inductees and current members!

It is indeed a Great Day To Be A Brave.
