Today, Mr. Miller announced that our Spring 2025 Musical is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr.! Audition packets and information can be picked up in the main office. Auditions will be held on 11/12 and 11/13. Show dates are 3/28, 3/29, and 3/30 of 2025!

You have shown a dedication to FBLA and a passion for contributing to the organization. You will now represent all middle school students from around the state of NJ and help build our NJ state middle school program. We are so excited for you, you make Halsted and the Newton School District so very proud!
#184DaysofBrave: Day 39 Scholars are getting to celebrate our Red Ribbon Week against drugs! Don't forget to dress up each day to show your support! Also, scholars who took part in our Walk to School event on Tuesday got to take part in an extra recess incentive today!
#184DaysofBrave: Day 38 7th Graders received a curriculum based incentive yesterday and got a chance to enjoy the unseasonably warm Fall weather with a visit to the Rail Trail!

Even though the week has brought us unseasonably warm weather, the HMS Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Young is hard at work preparing for their upcoming Winter Concert on December 10th!

On Thursday the 5th Grade took a trip to Tranquility Farms for a fun-filled Fall day to pick pumpkins and learn about agriculture!

Last night the varsity field hockey team did it again, battling back and toppling powerhouse Frankford (a historically undefeated team) 2-1. With 5 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Hannah Harrison connected with the back of the cage to tie the score 1-1 at halftime. Back-and-forth action in the third quarter led to a scramble around the cage, with Hannah pushing in the Braves second goal, lifting the lead to 2-1. Our total team effort held off the Bulldog's pressure in the fourth quarter, leading us to victory. Outstanding game girls!
