There will be a FREE family event held on October 25th at Newton High School in the cafeteria from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. The event is led by the Center for Prevention and will include a FREE dinner and giveaways. This is a great night to share in some family fun activities! We hope to see you there. The Harlem Wizards visited Halsted to promote the Class of 2025 fundraiser, which is The World Famous Harlem Wizards Vs. Newton Teaching Staff on October 12, 2023 at 6:30pm in the Newton High School Gymnasium. This event is an amazing and fun-filled community basketball game!

Halsted is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! Today we will be highlighting:
Lin-Manuel Miranda who is a composer, lyricist and actor of Puerto Rican heritage. He is well-known for creating the musicals "Hamilton” and “In the Heights,” and for showcasing Hispanic talent and stories in his productions. He most recently wrote music for the movie Encanto and the musical New York, New York.
Digital Library Card Links are now available! Even if students signed up for one last year, they must sign up for it again this year. With the digital library cards, students will be able to access materials/books/resources from the Sussex County Library, digitally. Please note, that students will be unable to use this card to check out physical books from the library.
